The Polaroid Project

Our mission: capture the planet’s emotion through Polaroid photographs.

Remember those old instant cameras and how good it was to get your photos straight away after taking them (after 30 seconds of frenetic shaking though…)?

We managed to get a vintage Polaroid Spirit 600 CL (Close Up) on Ebay and packed a few boxes of film in our suitcases.

The Polaroid project is a collection of Polaroid pics of iconic places and people around the world. In every country we visit, we create a ‘Polaroid postcard’. A picture, a stamp and as you would write on a postcard to your grandma, a signature with ‘Love from … xx’. You can imagine how things get complicated when you try to explain to a Japanese or Russian postman that you want to send directly a Polaroid with a stamp but without an envelop or proper address. Overseas of course! Miles away!
