The peak of Annapurna II is looming at the horizon.

2 more days and some steep ascent of 2,000 meters, and we reach the 5,416m Thorong La pass, high above the clouds.

Muktinath, at 3,710 meters, is waiting for us, after a steep descent. Buddhist and Hindu pilgrims congregate at the temple complex, where water, air and earth burn in a strange fire.
Prayer flags and some wind-bells down the valley give some spirituality to the wind.

10 days later, we finally arrive in Jomson, exhausted but elated!

When the plane takes off, we are lifted up from Jomsom in a matter of minutes, over the dark canyons and white mountainsides that required so many long hard days to cross. What an adventure!
